After thousands of messages, your thumbs know where each key is without looking. This test measures how automatic that has become: most key labels are hidden, so you type from memory. Your taps are recorded so they can be replayed and studied.
How it works
You'll type 3 words, then 3 six-digit numbers, twice.
Pass 1: hold your phone however is comfortable. Pass 2: use only the thumb of your non-dominant hand.
Most key labels are blank and what you type stays hidden. Type from memory, fix any mistake you feel with ⌫, then tap Submit.
At the end, tap Share recording to send it to the researcher.
Type as quickly and naturally as you would in a message. Mistakes are fine: they're part of what's measured. Only your taps are recorded, with no personal or device information.
